The Peta Abramo Foundation, linked to the PT, created a working group about November in Belém, and started a series of meetings with Amazonian leaders, academics and social movements to update party proposals to the region.
The Foundation intends to elaborate a proposal on climate emergency and inclusive development aimed at the local population, and will later perform face -to -face activities in some states.
“We need to take advantage of public discussions and debates about COP30 to deepen, update and spread PT’s proposals for the development and fight against poverty in the Legal Amazon and, especially, for the 30 million Brazilians living in the region,” says Perseu Abramo Foundation, Paulo Okamotto.
