When the electricity is gone: tips for the blackout

The large -scale blackout in Spain and Portugal has hit millions of people and the infrastructure of both countries hard. On April 28, 2025, there was a sudden break -in from the power supply around noon: around 15 gigawatts disappeared from the net within just a few seconds – this corresponded to about 60 percent of the electricity used in Spain at that time. The result was, among other things, no electrical light, no cooling and no electricity heating.
