1. Pomodoro Technique

The name is sophisticated, but the method is simple: work for 25 minutes and then take a break of 5. Every four “pomodoros”, the pause increases to 15 or 30 minutes.

This helps keep focus without exhausting your energies. And yes, it even makes you want to continue.

2. Divide to conquer

Sometimes the task looks like a seven -headed monster.

The tip here is to break the mission in smaller and easier to deal with. “Studying for the test” becomes “reading 10 pages”, “summarize topics”, “resolve 5 questions”. It is much more palatable and less scary.

3. Rule of 2 minutes

If you take less than two minutes to do, do it now. Without thinking, without negotiating. It is a practical way to prevent the accumulation of small tasks that together have seen a tsunami of guilt.

4. PUBLIC COMMITMENT

Tell someone what you need to do. It can be a friend, the WhatsApp group or even a post on social networks. When you publicly commit yourself, the “weight of shame” becomes motivated.

5. Start with the easiest

Forget that “attack the most first” talk. Sometimes starting with the simplest gives the impulse necessary to pack on the tasks. It’s like warming up before running a marathon.

6. Create (serious) rewards

Did you work for an hour? It is worth an episode of the series. Concluded the report? You can order the favorite snack. The secret is to transform productivity into something pleasurable, not just an obligation.
