Opened in 1971, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, a concert hall, an opera house and a theater, each with over 1000 seats, are also smaller rooms and a jazz club. Not only is it the largest cultural complex in the US capital, but with its concerts, guest performances and events also a lighthouse of the American cultural scene.
