It happens regularly that products of all kinds – e.g. B. electrical devices, software or furniture- do not offer the expected security, so that damage to people or property or in the event of software can cause damage to IT and information security. The security of products is regulated across the EU through product-specific EU guidelines and regulations, e.g. B. by the low-voltage guideline for electrical devices, through the AI Act for AI systems and the cyber resilience act for software.
