Vienna – The trade unionist Karl Dürtscher is dead. The chief negotiator of the GPA union died on Sunday after a serious illness, the GPA said on Monday. Dürtscher has been the federal manager since 2018 and negotiated over 170 collective contracts, most recently those for the metal and in the electronics industry. Dürtscher was 64 years old.
