Tournament has open registration for Brazilians until October, with national phase in São Paulo
It has announced a Global Tetris championship with open registration for participants from around the world, including Brazil. The announcement was made this Friday (06.jun.2025), a date that marks the World Tetris Day. The grand final of the tournament will take place from December 11 to 13 in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, with over 2,000 drones forming a live game in the desert sky.

In Brazil, the qualifying phase will take place through registrations available until October 31 for people over 18 years. The 8 best places in the national ranking will play with each other in a face -to -face final in São Paulo, in the form of individual matches.
The exact date and place of the Brazilian national final, which will take place in São Paulo, have not yet been released. There is also no information on possible awards to the winners.
The tournament will extend throughout the 2nd semester of 2025, with the qualifying phase starting on June 6. The competition will bring together participants from more than 55 countries. The Brazilian champion will secure a place in the world final, while the 2nd place will be invited as a spectator.
The world final in Dubai will use the iconic Dubai Frame as a scenario for the projection of the game by drones. Classifieds will participate in 3 days of activities that include interactive experiences and musical performances, culminating in the decision on December 13.
The qualifying phase will be held online, while the national final will take place in person in São Paulo. The competition marks the first time that the classic video games will be played with drones forming the game in the skies.
