Abu Dhabi – The national soccer teams of Uzbekistan and Jordan have qualified for a world championship for the first time. On Thursday, the Uzbeken won 0-0 against the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi and secured second place behind the already qualified Iran in the Asian qualification group A. South Korea won 2-0 in Iraq, with which the East Asians in Group B as well as Jordan (3-0 in Oman) can no longer fall out of the promotion ranks.
