Dead after suffering burns in a quarter of motel in São José dos Pinhais, in the metropolitan region of Curitiba (PR), Gabriele Cristine Barreto Freitas left a son of only five years. She worked as an online seller.

The 24 -year -old had been hospitalized in serious condition since May 25 and died last Saturday (31). The case occurred after Gabriele met a boy at a party and went with him to the motel. According to a man made by the victim’s family, the two used the bedroom bathtub and, after the bath, Gabriele would have begun to get sick.
Still according to the man, he who left the bathroom before the young woman and, moments later, heard a noise. Upon returning to the scene, he would have found Gabriele lying inside the bathtub.
According to the report, the young woman hit her head and, when she left the water, trembled and complained that she didn’t feel well. The boy reported that he noticed signs of burning in his hands and other parts of the victim’s body, and said he wrapped her into a sheet before taking her immediately to the hospital.
The cause of death was recorded as burns, including third -degree lesions. However, Gabriele’s family demands more detailed explanations and questions the circumstances of the accident. The scene of the incident had not yet been inspected and the man who accompanied the young woman did not give formal testimony to the Civil Police.
The investigation is under the responsibility of the São José dos Pinhais Police Station, which established an inquiry to investigate what actually occurred inside the motel. Police are still awaiting expert reports and should hear the boy in the coming days.
