Erusalem/Cairo (Reuters)-Israel is analyzing a revised response from Hamas to a proposal for a ceasefire and hostage release, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Israeli air and terrestrial attacks continued to reach the Gaza Strip.

Dozens of people starved in Gaza in recent weeks when a wave of hunger has settled over the Palestinian enclave, according to local health authorities. The World Health Organization reported on Wednesday that 21 children under five are among those who have died of malnutrition so far this year.

Israel, who has cut all supplies to Gaza since early March and has reopened with new restrictions in May, says he is committed to allowing help entry, but should control it to prevent militants from being diverted.

Nasser Hospital reported that three people were killed by Israeli shots while seeking help in southern Gaza, near the so -called Morag axis, between Khan Youis and Rafah. The Israeli military said Palestinian militants had fired a projectile during Khan Youis night towards a place of help distribution near Morag.
