Specialist Council: If you want to always save 1/4 of the fuel deposit this is what you should do every day

Throughout the year, millions of people are looking for the best alternatives to save fuel, given the increase in the price of it. Saving some deposit by the same kilometers is a goal that can be said common to all. This summer, gasoline and diesel vehicle drivers can save a considerable amount in fuel following a simple but effective advice while being behind the wheel.

Finance Specialist Council

Finance expert Cameron Smith, known at Tiktok as @cazzatime, quoted by the British digital newspaper Express, revealed that the most important trick to spend less fuel is to avoid speeding. As it states, this simple change can reduce consumption up to 25%.

The explanation is logical: driving above the speed limit increases air resistance, requires the engine to work harder and inevitably raises consumption. Studies indicate that circulating at 130 km/h can spend about 25% more fuel than 110 km/h. This means that, on a long trip, the difference can represent several liters spared and, consequently, several euros in the pocket.

Aggressive accelerations do not help

Smith also underlines that accelerating aggressively and locking abruptly is another habit that should be avoided. These maneuvers force the engine to spend more energy and fuel. On the contrary, maintaining smooth and constant driving, anticipating situations on the road, is one of the best strategies to save.

Other recommendations

Among the basic recommendations, the expert, cited by the same source, also includes keeping the tires with the correct pressure, which is something that reduces friction and improves efficiency, removing unnecessary weight from the luggage and using changes properly, avoiding very high revs.

The Royal Automobile Club (RAC) recalls that for years, the speed of 90 km/h as the most economical. However, it is currently considered that the highest efficiency is, on average, between 70 and 80 km/h, depending on the vehicle and road conditions.

Following these guidelines, any driver may, according to the, reduce travel costs while contributing to a lower environmental impact.
