X-Sports, the new Brazilian open TV station, has a release date to have its signal in the air: August 16, Saturday. The idea of the channel is to have a 100% focus on the sport. On this day, the station must have the broadcast of three matches, all of international football.

The first will be at 11am (Brasília), with Tottenham and Burnley, by the Premier League. At 1 pm it will be the turn of Blackburn and Birmingham, by Championship, the English Second Division.

Following, at 3:30 pm, will be broadcast the game between Stuttgart and Bayern Munich, valid for the Bundesliga.

  • 11h (Brasilia) – Tottenham x Burnley – Premier League
  • 13h (Brasilia) – Blackburn x Birmigham – Championship (2nd Division of England)

How will X-Sports work?

X-Sports will be a new channel of sports on Brazilian open TV. The channel already has the confirmed numbers to tune – click here to access the full list. In São Paulo, for example, it will be possible to tune the channel at 32.1.

In addition to the championships that will be broadcast at the premiere, the tendency is for the channel to have matches of La Liga, the Portuguese Championship, Germany Cup, Italian Championship and other soccer tournaments, volleyball, motoring and varied sports.

The company agreed to hire a number of names to be narrators and commentators of the station. These are established names of the Brazilian press, such as Milton Leite, Dudu Monsanto and Mauro Beting.
