Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) authorized that former President Jair Bolsonaro receives a visit from the PL president, Valdemar Costa Neto, and federal deputy Rodrigo Valadares (União Brasil-SE), rapporteur of a project that grants amnesty to those involved in the scammer acts of January 8.
The minister’s decision authorizes Valdemar’s visit to take place only on September 25, contrary to the request made by the former president’s defense for the meetings to be permanent.
Moraes also authorized that Bolsonaro receives the visit of former minister Adolfo Sachsida, senators Wilder Morais (PL-GO), Rogério Marinho (PL-RN) and federal deputy Sostenes Cavalcante (PL-RJ).
Requests take place amid increased discussion of amnesty, which could benefit Bolsonaro, and the pressure of Centrão parties to define an opposition candidate to 2026.
The request to receive Valdemar weekly was justified by the “indispensable dialogue with the maximum leader of party association, whose function requires direct and frequent contact”.
Bolsonaro has been under house arrest since early August, by determination of Moraes, after breaking up the ban on using social networks. Therefore, all your visits need to be authorized.

Last week, the former president was sentenced to 27 years and three months in prison by the First Class of the Supreme Court, due to an attempt to coup. However, he may still appeal before he has to start serving this sentence.
