United States President Donald Trump said US military personnel have “liquidated” a third boat with drugs from Venezuela, although the Pentagon has so far detailed two of these actions.
“Stop sending drugs to the United States,” Trump said on Tuesday, leaving Washington for a trip to London. “In fact, we overthrew three boats, not two, but we saw two.”
Trump did not provide more details about the attack, but warned Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro to stop sending narcotics and criminals from his country to the US.

This Monday (15), Trump published on social networks details of the second attack, including a video showing a vessel rolling on the waves in unidentified waters. After a few seconds, the vessel is consumed by a huge fireball. Trump said the attack “resulted in the death of three male terrorists.” He told reporters at the White House on Monday that the US is ready to attack drug cartels on both land and sea.
Last month, Trump ordered an attack that, according to the Pentagon, left 11 dead in another boat allegedly carrying drugs.
The campaign has increased tension with Venezuela and provoked objections from some neighboring Latin American countries. There were also internal criticism of legal experts and some members of Congress, who argued that the US was not under immediate threat and that the attack could not have been cool, as people on the boat were not military fighters and the US and Venezuela are not at war.
