The Rio de Janeiro Civil Police on Thursday (18) an operation to try to identify suspected crimes through organized fans. A man was arrested in the act after confrontation with police officers, according to the agency.
The agents meet 39 search and seizure warrants, and some of the addresses are the headquarters of the main fans of the state. Sought through profiles on social networks, the organized did not comment.
The investigation tries to identify perpetrators of crimes such as theft and homicides. “It is not about combating organized fans, whose existence is provided by law,” said the Civil Police in a statement.
Two episodes of fighting between organized ended with deaths last week.
On the 11th, Vasco Rodrigo José Santana fan died shot in the head during a fight between organized in Oswaldo Cruz. The fight, which took place in Oswaldo Cruz, 7 km from where the match between Botafogo and Vasco (Nilton Santos Stadium) took place, was involved in a Flamengo fans, according to an investigation.
On Saturday (13), Matheus Casemiro dos Santos, a member of the Young Torcida do Pottery, was killed after being assaulted with punches, kicks and beams in fight hours before the match between São Cristóvão and Bonsucesso – the cheerleaders of Olaria and Bonsucesso are allies.
Flamengo’s young fans, one of the oldest in the red-black club, was prohibited from attending sporting events for the next two years, in a decision on Tuesday (16) of the Special Court of the fan and the major events, the Rio de Janeiro Court.
The removal was a request from the Rio de Janeiro Prosecutor’s Office, which understood that there was a series of crimes committed on August 31, a date that marked the return of the young woman to the stadiums.
The young woman has accumulated suspensions since 2015 – the latter had been in 2021. A TAC (Conduct Adjustment Term) signed this year between the organized board and the prosecutor released the return by rules.
In a note published on social networks, the young woman said “the importance that sporting events are safe”, but said “the suspension penalizes a collective of thousands of fans who work responsibly.” He also said he will appeal.
