Minister who will be the next president of the Court participated in an event at the Vatican organized by CNBB
Supreme Court Minister Edson Fachin met with Pope Leo 14 on Saturday (20.Set.2025) during the Vatican. The event brings together judges, prosecutors and law professionals from various countries.

The minister, who is Catholic, will fund his own resources both passages and lodging in Rome. There will be no use of public funds for the trip, according to the Poder360.
The visit was organized by CNBB (National Confederation of Bishops of Brazil), a week before the inauguration of Fachin scheduled for September 29. The inauguration ceremony in the presidency of the Supreme Court will take place in Brasilia and will be attended by the President (PT), leaders of the National Congress.
