Daniel Bombic, accused of extremist crime, remains in custody. On Tuesday it was decided by the Specialized Criminal Court (STS) in Pezinok. The court’s decision is not final because the defendant filed a complaint against it, which is decided by the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic. This stems from the information provided for TASR by Mária Horáková from ŠTS.
‘A single judge of the Specialized Criminal Court refused the request of the defendant DB for release from custody. The self -judge did not replace the detention of the defendant under the supervision of a probation and mediation officer and did not accept the written promise of the defendant,“Horáková said.
The prosecutor filed an indictment for Daniel Bombic for 26 attacks described in 12 points for the crime of the manifestation of sympathy for the movement aimed at suppressing fundamental rights and freedoms, the crime of expanding extremist material in parallel with an offense of manifestation of sympathy for the movement aimed at suppressing fundamental rights and freedoms, a crime of expansion of extremist material, incitement to national, racial and ethnic happiness committed from hatred of the individual for his supposed belonging to a nation or religious confession and for sexual orientation and continuing offense of dangerous electronic harassment in conjunction with an offense of manifestation of sympathy to the movement aimed at suppressing fundamental rights and freedoms.
Daniela Bombica, on which three arrests were issued in the past, escorted from Great Britain to Slovakia under strict security measures at the end of January.
