The Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, sent to the STF the last arguments in the process

The Attorney General’s Office () asked the Federal Supreme Court () the condemnation of all six defendants of the “Management” nucleus of the coup plan. In this group are six accused who were part of the former president’s government (PL) and, according to PGR, were “responsible for managing the main initiatives” of the coup plot. “The indispensability of its contributions to the disruptive and violent intent is unquestionable,” says the PGR in the manifestation of 342 pages.

The Attorney General of the Republic, sent the SUPS the last arguments to the STF in the process. Now the defenses will submit their final allegations, the last step before the trial in the first class. The date will still be scheduled. The group is responsible for five crimes – armed criminal organization, coup d’état, attempted violent abolition of the democratic state, deterioration of listed heritage and qualified damage against the heritage of the Union.

Silvinei Vasques, Marília Alencar and Fernando de Sousa Oliveira are accused of using the PRF to make the voting of voters in the Northeast, the electoral stronghold of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT), in the second round of the 2022 elections and, thus, to “support Bolsonaro’s illegitimate permanence” in power.

Mário Fernandes was accused of coordinating “violent monitoring and neutralization actions of public authorities”, in conjunction with Marcelo Câmara, and of interlocution with popular leaders linked to scammer acts of January 8, 2023. The general admitted the authorship of the yellow green dagger, one of the plans to execute Minister Alexandre de Moraes and Vice Geraldo Alckmin. A copy of the document was printed at the Planalto Palace.

According to the PGR, it was also proven “narrow bond” between the then secretary and the violent protests in the Three Powers Square. Mário Fernandes was personally in the camps in Brasilia. He also exchanged messages with Lucas Rottilli Durlo, known as “Trucker Leader” in Mato Grosso, and Lieutenant Colonel José Luiz Sávio Costa Filho, another name in front of the camps, how to maintain “the maximum control” about the demonstrations.

The former secretary also sought other members of the government, such as Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid and former Minister Walter Braga Netto, to ask them to talk to Bolsonaro about the possibility of “protecting” the camped protesters. “In addition to ideological alignment, direct contributions and dialogue between the criminal organization and protesters have been proven, which rule out any idea from a mere parallel of circumstances. Evidence, in fact, subjectively links the accused to the causal chain of acts of 8.1 2023,” the PGR says in the final allegations. “It was evident that the group was waiting for the popular event as the ultimate attempt to consummate the coup,” adds the attorney general.

Filipe Martins was appointed by Gonet as responsible for the decree project that would implement “exceptional measures” of the coup, a document that became known as the “coup draft”. “The insertion of Filipe Martins in this context was not peripheral or accidental. It was the result of his profound relationship of confidence with the leader of the criminal organization, his strategic position in the government and his ideological alignment to the agenda propiled by the group,” says the attorney general.

The former advisor also wrote a speech with accusations of ballot boxes that, according to investigators, was prepared to be read by former President Jair Bolsonaro after the defeat in the 2022 elections. Instead of recognizing defeat, the document (“speech 31-10.docx”) states that the election was “illegitimate” and puts the result of the electoral process suspicious.
