Several people were injured and killed in a gunfire on Wednesday at a Federal Immigration and Customs Office in Dallas, and the shooter was killed after a self-inflicted bullet injury, federal officials said.
Police responded to reports of shooting at the office in Northwest of Dallas around 7:30 am, local time, the local media said.
The secretary of the internal security department, Kristi Noem, said in an X post that there were several injuries and fatalities and that the shooter was dead.

“The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly Ice, needs to stop. I am praying for all the injured in this attack and their families,” wrote US Vice President Jd Vance, in X, responding to Noem.
The shooter was found dead on the roof of a nearby building, ABC’s local affiliate WFAA said, citing sources.
“Preliminary information is from a possible shooter,” Ice interim director Todd Lyons told CNN.

According to media information, at least some of the victims were in critical condition.
An ICE spokesman did not immediately answer Reuters’ questions. Dallas police have not immediately returned calls or emails requesting comments.
