More than that, he managed to beat his own personal record – in March, at the Tokyo marathon, he had ended with 3h24m.
To try to stay discreet, he signed up under the fake name of “Sted Sarandos,” ran with sunglasses and headlines, but was still recognized by fans and paparazzi who were attentive to the route.
