The new party program, which will be approved this weekend during a party meeting in Sao Paulo, will emphasize the climate transition and the regulation of the Big Techs.
It will update its programmatic document for the first time since its foundation, from a dissent of the PT.
Many points of the original text are lagged, such as the opposition to the FTA (Free Trade Area of the Americas), a theme that today has fallen into oblivion. Nor were there, for two decades, the same current dimension of discussions such as environmentalism and social networks.
The new program will also make it clearer that the party puts the power dispute in majority positions as a priority.
The meeting will take place in a MST shed in the Barra Funda neighborhood of São Paulo. There will be the presence of leaders of Brazilian left parties and guests of international subtitles, such as Somos (Spain), Democratic Polo (Colombia), Left Bloc (Portugal) and Democratic Socialists of America (US).
There will also be the presence of art exhibitors and books and samba wheel with the carnival block cornucopy.
