
The Civil Guard has found the body of a 54 -year -old man with signs of violence inside the trunk of a car in (Almería, 91,457 inhabitants). Male’s relatives had denounced their disappearance on Sunday, although they did not know their whereabouts since Saturday night. The Armed Institute has opened an investigation to clarify what happened, according to sources close to the case. The victim is a neighbor of the Almeria municipality of Berja, and worked as an official at the City Council. “We deeply regret their death,” they have pointed out in a statement P on their social networks.
The last time the man was seen, last Saturday at 9:00 p.m., he was traveling in a white Volkswagen Passat and planned to start a trip. Since then, his family and friends had no more contact with him, so on Sunday afternoon they denounced his disappearance before the authorities. The Civil Guard then began with the search that just hours later concluded with the location of the man. His lifeless body was found inside the trunk of a car parked next to the facilities of a fruit and vegetable company in the San Agustín nucleus, belonging to El Ejido. Sources of the case have been reported, showed signs of violence. The area was cordoned off for the work of the specialists, who keep an investigators open to clarify the facts.
According to Europa Press, the victim was called Antonio Campos and was a well -known person in Almería for his participation in the social, cultural and religious life of the municipality as a member of the Brotherhood of the Virgin of Gádor. It was also linked to the Virgitano Center for Historical Studies. He currently worked as an official of the City Council of El Ejido, who has expressed “his deepest condolences” for the death of a “member” of the institution “who always provided public service with responsibility.”
“We deeply regret his death and express our condolences with family, friends and relatives, whom we accompany in this moment of pain,” they have stressed from the Consistory in a statement published on social networks. “Berja today loses a person who leaves a mark on the memory of those who met him and shared moments by his side,” adds the message of the City Council of this town, where the victim resided.
