Government inaugurates Amazonian Museum in action for COP30 – 09/30/2025 – Panel

The government inaugurates this Thursday (2) the Museum of Amazonia, in Belém (PA), one of the preparatory actions for the UN conference on climate change that will be held in November in the capital of Pará.

The museum had an investment of R $ 20 million from the Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation. The space is also responsible for the Pará Secretariat of Culture and the Ministry of Culture, through the Rouanet Law.

The space will be inaugurated with two exhibitions, including A, which brings together 200 black and white photos, the result of seven years of expeditions throughout the region.

“This is a project that brings together science, culture, research, extension, education and sustainability. When you put science and culture together, you open very diverse horizons,” says the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation of Brazil, Luciana Santos.

“The Amazon Museum is born as a space for valuing knowledge, memory and biodiversity, a permanent platform with the objective of portraying one of the most important biomes in the world, the forest communities and all its biodiversity, contributing to the dialogue on sustainable development and environmental conservation,” he adds.
