Portuguese pilot Miguel Oliveira will compete in a championship with bikes derived from standard, after 14 years in the World Cup, half of which in the Queen category, MotoGP, confirmed the BMW team on Tuesday.
Miguel Oliveira joins the Italian Danilo Petrucci, who has also passed the MotoGP and all-terrain (played the 2022 Dakar), replacing Turkish Toprak Razgatlioglu, who will take his place in the Pramac Yamaha in 2026.

Miguel Oliveira’s career
The 30 -year -old Caparica pilot, began his career in the World Championship in 2011 in the then category of 125cc.
In 2012 it remained in the lowest category, when it moved to four-stroke engines and began to designate Moto3. In 2015 he was runner-up, losing the title to Briton Danny Kent.
Between 2016 and 2018, the Portuguese played the Moto2 World Cup, in which he was also runner-up in 2018, losing only to the Italian Francesco Bagnaia, who would go to MotoGP champion in 2022 and 2023.
At the World Cup, where they compete for prototypes, Miguel Oliveira won 17 wins out of a total of 41 podiums, nine of them in the Queen category, MotoGP, where he won five races (Estyria and Algarve in 2020, Catalonia, in 2021, Indonesia and Thailand in 2022), always with KTM.
