According to the delegate Nespoli, driver Talysson Duarte was indicted for manslaughter, with no intention of killing. “Even in public, to give greater transparency here in our research work on this issue, this fateful death that generated so much social repercussion, especially in our state, we have already completed the investigation. He was last week for justice, where the prosecutor will also be given to the eventual denunciation and the judiciary for trial,” he said.

Director Sandro Martins detailed the complexity of the expertise. “This case was very complex due to the event and multiple vehicles. It was raining, which made it difficult to collect essential traces to determine important factors of the accident. The final report has 45 pages and involved a team of five experts, as well as partnership with the scientific police of São Paulo, who processed images of the accident to give more robustness to the material,” he explained. He stressed that the document presents the dynamics of the event in detail, but it was not possible to determine the exact speed of the truck at the time of the collision.

Remember the case:

Despite the conclusion of the report, family members of the victims showed revolt and frustration. For them, clarifications are still lacking in some circumstances of the accident.

According to the Civil Police, the material will now go to the Public Prosecution Service and to the court, which will evaluate any complaints and the continuation of the judicial process. During the press conference, a simulated video of the accident was also presented, prepared from the expert report, showing the dynamics of the event.
