For the first time, woman at the top of the Anglican Church

London – For the first time, a woman as a spiritual head leads the Anglican Church: As the British government announced on Friday, the London bishop Sarah Mullally was appointed the new archbishop of Canterbury. Her nomination was therefore made by King Charles III. approved, the secular head of the church of England, which in turn is the mother church of the Anglican community. (APA, 3.10.2025)
