The governor of Goiás and possible candidate for President, (), criticized her for expanding the Union Budget to 2026, the election year.
In a post on social media, he stated that approving the measure would be “voting to increase taxes and giving a gift of R$30 billion to the government [PT] burn in 2026 — with more populist and irresponsible measures”.
The initial revenue forecast of R$35 billion, however, was reduced while the proposal’s rapporteur, deputy Carlos Zarattini (PT-SP), dehydrated it to try to get votes for its approval, and in the most recent wording of the text it is around R$17 billion.

Tarcísio is also tipped, like Caiado, to run against the PT member in the 2026 Elections, and Planalto sees this movement against the text as being related to this dispute.
Government leader in Congress, senator Randolfe Rodrigues (PT-AP), called the Goiás governor’s position shameless.
“You remained silent in 2022, when [o ex-presidente Jair] Bolsonaro spent more than 300 billion reais to try to buy the election. Including using the Federal Highway Police. Now, he aligns himself with Governor Tarcísio in the sabotage operation in Brazil”, he published on his social networks.
