Lecornu: France could have a new prime minister within 48 hours


In France’s government crisis, the signs point to easing for the time being: Resigned Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu said on French television on Wednesday evening that a dissolution of the National Assembly currently appears less likely. He told President Emmanuel Macron this in the evening after exploratory talks with representatives of other parties. The country could have a new prime minister in 48 hours, he said.
