In Pasching, the richest Austrian chess tournament is taking place on the department store stage for the seventh time. Thanks to the sponsors PlusCity and Freedom Finance, the total prize fund for the four competitions played with the shortest and shortest time for consideration is an impressive 80,000 euros. Which is why it’s not surprising that 50 grandmasters from around the world made their way to Upper Austria to have a go.
