Brazilian Charles do Bronxs wants to face Conor McGregor at an event at the White House. In an interview before his fight at UFC Rio, against Mateusz Gamrot, the featherweight stated that participating in the card history would be an unmissable opportunity, mainly due to the figures that would be moved.
“The reason for fighting him is, in fact, financial. What I’m saying here is the purest truth. My story is not made up, it’s exactly how it happened. I’m not going to change my style. Why do I want to fight him? For the money. How much do you think this fight can generate? How much could everyone profit from it? We’re talking about astronomical figures. That’s the reality,” said Charles.
Even after being honest about the reason for his desire to face the Irishman, the former champion still highlighted the relevance of this fight for his legacy within the organization.
“When we talk about legacy, this is going to be huge. Why not hold a big fight there? It would be incredible, everyone wants to fight on that stage. If the UFC needs me, I’ll be ready. And everyone knows what the fight would be: Charles Oliveira against Conor McGregor. This is the money fight”, said the Brazilian.
