Pink October: SP Government creates scarves and returns profits to the Cancer Institute

The Government of São Paulo will launch themed scarves whose profits will be fully donated to the state’s Cancer Institutein the Pink October 2025 campaign.

The action in conjunction with the State Department of Health and the retail chain reinforces care for women and support for patients undergoing breast cancer treatment. The information was brought forward first hand to the CNN Brazil.

According to the secretariat, the scarves, with modern design and affordable prices, will be available throughout the month of October. ‘Marisa’ is the company responsible for the design and distribution.

“The partnership with Marisa is an example of how the union between public authorities and the private sector can generate social impact and expand the reach of care and prevention messages. The Government of São Paulo has been acting permanently to guarantee access to early diagnosis and quality treatment”, highlights Edmund Baracat, director of the Gynecology Division at Hospital das Clínicas at FMUSP and coordinator of the technical area of ​​Women’s Health at SES.

Opened in 2008, the Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo is one of the largest oncology centers in Latin America and serves exclusively through the public network. It has already welcomed more than 141 thousand patients, including more than 16 thousand women with breast cancer.
