The MPRS (Public Ministry of Rio Grande do Sul) reported two nursing technicians of the Ernesto Dornelles Hospital, in Porto Alegre (RS), for a sexual crime against a patient. They have been arrested since last Monday (13).
According to the MP, the technicians were reported by against a 39-year-old patient, who was admitted to the institution to undergo a gynecological procedure.
According to delegate Thais Dias Dequech, in July this year, one of the suspects entered the room where the woman was hospitalized and simulated an intimate touch examination, in addition to feeling the victim’s belly and breasts. The action would have included the participation of another hospital employee, also a nursing technician.
The victim found the procedure strange and reported the facts to the nursing team. THE and by hospital staff.
During investigations, the police concluded that the suspects had previously agreed to the action and tried to hide the crime.
In a statement, Ernesto Dornelles Hospital said that it “was aware of the complaint, provided immediate care and full care to the patient and her family” and that it “continues to collaborate with the investigations”. Check out the note in full:
“The Ernesto Dornelles Hospital informs that, as soon as it became aware of the complaint, it provided immediate care and comprehensive care to the patient and her family. On the initiative of the Institution, together with the family, the incident was registered with the competent authorities, with a view to elucidation and police investigation.
The employees involved were summarily dismissed from the Hospital. It continues to collaborate with the investigations, which must take place under secrecy and with ethical rigor, aiming at the safety and non-exposure of the patient.
