Hamas says it has no knowledge of attacks in Gaza

The Hamas Armed Forces said, this Sunday (19), that they were not aware of any incident or clash in Rafah, a city in southern Gaza. The statement comes after Israel said the radical group carried out airstrikes in the region.

The Palestinian group reiterated that it is committed to the agreement on all areas of Gaza, mediated by the United States in recent weeks.

In the early hours of Sunday, an Israeli military official declared that the use of rocket-propelled grenades and sniper fire led Israel to carry out attacks in the area just nine days after the start of the ceasefire.

The military also said that Israeli forces suffered casualties as a result of the attacks. The incident would have occurred beyond the Yellow Line – Israel’s initial withdrawal border defined in the ceasefire agreement.

In contrast, senior Hamas official Izzat Al Risheq .

“Hamas affirms its commitment to the ceasefire agreement and emphasizes that the Israeli occupation continues to violate the agreement and manufacture flimsy pretexts to justify its crimes,” Al Risheq posted on his Telegram account.
