In the city, where everything runs, having a green corner to stop changes your perspective. Every morning, look out onto the balcony and discover that the rocket has put out new leaves. Or that the cabbage took shape, slowly. It’s a small daily miracle.
Few things are needed:
- Containers with drainage holes: even recycled, the important thing is that they do not retain water.
- Soft and well-aerated soilenriched with compost or humus.
- Organic seeds or nursery seedlings: choose rustic varieties suited to the local climate.
- Direct sunlight for at least 4-5 hours per day: south-facing balconies are ideal.
And above all: you need consistency. Water should be given judiciously, avoiding stagnation. The leaves must be observed to understand if the sun is burning or if there is a lack of nourishment. There’s no rush, just pay attention.
