More than 400 motorcyclists were fined in a single operation by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) last Sunday (19), while traveling in a group along BR-060, between Anápolis and Abadiânia (GO). The infractions totaled around R$1 million, with individual fines reaching R$3,000 per driver.

According to the PRF, the movement was characterized as an unauthorized event, as the group traveled in large numbers without prior communication to the authorities and without adequate security measures. The action, according to the agency, aimed to ensure the fluidity of traffic and avoid accidents.
The motorcyclists took part in a ride to celebrate the five years of the motorcycle club “Os Brabos Têm Nome”. In videos posted on social media, the convoy appears to be occupying only the right lane of the highway. The organizers claim that the movement did not interfere with the circulation of vehicles and that the route had been accompanied by scouts.
In addition to the fines, some of the drivers had their National Driving License (CNH) suspended. The measure generated dissatisfaction among participants, who classified the action as exaggerated.
In a post on Instagram, motorcyclist Daniel Siles criticized the operation. “It is completely unfair and inhumane to prevent a person from driving for no reason, especially when this is their source of income or leisure,” he said. He added that the group carried out the same tour the previous year “without any problems” and that the inspection “decided to collect this absurd amount” this year.
The case had repercussions on social media and divided opinions. Some internet users supported the PRF’s actions, claiming that the mass displacement represented a risk to road safety. Others defended the motorcyclists, arguing that the ride was peaceful and did not constitute an irregular event.
