A joint action between the Bahia Civil Police ea Federal Policenot last Saturday (25th), resulted in the seizure of eight kilos of cocaine transported by a 47-year-old Brazilian woman no Zurich Airportin Switzerland.
Intelligence actions conducted by DEIC (Specialized Department of Criminal Investigations) identified evidence that the woman was involved in transporting drugs from Brazil to Europe.
The suspect was caught during baggage inspection, after exchanging information between the DEC ea Federal Police of Mato Grosso do Sul.
Based on this information, interagency cooperation measures were adopted, with the aim of interrupting the criminal route before new shipments were made.
The suspect was approached by Swiss airport authorities, and the drugs were seized.
“Actions like this reinforce the importance of integration between national and foreign institutions to combat crimes that cross borders”, highlighted the director of DEIC, delegate Thomas Galdino.
