An electric scooter driver was caught north of Paris with excessive alcohol and drug use, leading to the seizure of the vehicle. The Gendarmerie du Val d’Oise intercepted the young man when he was talking on his cell phone while walking, having detected 0.82 g/liter of alcohol in his blood, well above the legal limit in France of 0.25 g/liter.
The test also revealed the use of cannabis and cocaine, and the AirPods he was carrying were stolen. The electric scooter was immediately seized, but, curiously, the gendarmes called a tow truck instead of placing it directly in the patrol car.
