The iconic fashion event aimed to raise funds for Hollywood costume designers affected by the Los Angeles fires.
Nicole Kidman was one of the stars present at a fashion show in Los Angeles, an initiative of the magazine Vogue with a solidarity objective.
Director Baz Luhrmann gave instructions during the event, but what at first glance seemed like the shooting of a film turned out to be a fashion show that combines fashion and cinema, two universes that intersect in Nicole Kidman’s world.
The actress wore a satin dress from Chanel, a French brand for which she is an ambassador, with black camellia applications, in homage to Rita Hayworth in the film Gilda (1946). Model Kendall Jenner presented herself with a crystal bodice that evoked Moulin Rougea film in which Nicole Kidman was directed by Baz Luhrmann.
The glamor extended to inspiration from the Roaring Twenties, with actor Kyle MacLachlan taking part in a moment of tribute to O Grande Gatsby. The parade also paid tribute to Diane Keaton, in one of the actress’s most memorable roles, who died on the 11th, in the film Annie Hall.
Angela Bassett shone when evoking the universe of Black Pantherwhile Doja Cat, inspired by Tina Turner’s character in Mad Maxperformed songs during the initiative.
The parade had a charitable objective: to raise revenue for Hollywood costume designers affected by the fires that hit Los Angeles earlier this year.
