Do you think that the best cakes are simple, uncomplicated ones, prepared with simple ingredients? If so, definitely do it Pear cake. In addition to flour, you will only need: eggs, sugar, butter, baking powder and sweet pears. The baked goods are delicate, slightly moist and simply delicious. It is worth adding that if you don’t have pears at home, you can easily replace them with apples, it will also be delicious.
Before you start baking, prepare the appropriate form. It will work well cake tin with a diameter of 26 cm.
To prepare this recipe, you will need:
- 3-4 pears,
- 4 eggs,
- 150 g cane sugar (+ for sprinkling the cake),
- 1 pack of vanilla sugar,
- 125 ml of liquid butter,
- 250 g of wheat flour,
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder,
- juice of 1 lemon,
- powdered sugar for sprinkling.
Beat eggs (at room temperature) with sugar and vanilla sugar. When you obtain a light, fluffy mass, pour the liquid, cooled butter into it in a thin stream. Mix the mixture for a while.
Sift the flour and baking powder into a separate bowl. Add the loose products to the mass in batches, mixing it gently with a spatula – just until the ingredients are combined.
Peel the pears and cut them into halves. Remove the seeds. Place the fruit halves with the convex side up and score them with a knife (do not cut them completely). Sprinkle the fruit with lemon juice.
Grease and sprinkle with breadcrumbs a 26 cm diameter cake tin. Pour the dough into it and smooth its surface. Place the pears on the cake (radially, along the edge of the cake tin) and press them lightly into the center. Sprinkle walnut quarters in the center of the dough. Sprinkle everything with cane sugar.
Put the cake in the oven preheated to 180°C. Bake for about 50 minutes (until the stick is dry).
When the pear cake is ready and has cooled down slightly, sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
