On Sunday, the 24-year-old, seeded number two, defeated the ninth-ranked Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime 6:4,7:6(4) in the final of the Masters 1000 tournament in Paris and replaced Carlos Alcaraz in first place. The Spaniard lost his opening match against Briton Cameron Norrie. Sinner had triumphed in Vienna just a week before, so he collected 1,500 points in those two weeks.
