In Covilhã, breast cancer survivors participate in exercise classes prepared especially for those who have faced or are facing the disease. THE It is free and developed by the University of Beira Interior.

Any of the women who participate in the program know that the road to recovery from breast cancer is a long one and, although at different paces, exercise seems to help them move forward. Maria faced the disease 48 years ago, and the treatments left marks.

Mama Move, a specific physical exercise program aimed at those recovering from cancer, is in its 11th edition and is promoted by the University of Beira Interior. All exercises have in common helping to overcome the problems not only of the disease, but also of the treatment.

This is the spirit of those who, like Paula, are in the middle of the battle and infect those who are still at the beginning, as is the case of Gabriela.
