Vitor Roque at United? Understand what is known about negotiation

Vitor Roque no United? Entenda o que se sabe sobre negociação image

Vitor Roque, Palmeiras striker, has entered Manchester United’s radar, according to information from the Spanish portal Fichajes. The English club’s interest arose after the player’s good performance this season, with 16 goal appearances so far.

To count on the Brazilian, the English would be willing to pay 50 million euros, which is equivalent to around R$332.7 million, at the current price.

Despite the high value at stake, Palmeiras would not keep the full amount if the deal goes through. This is because Barcelona still holds 20% of the athlete’s economic rights, which means that a considerable part of the future transfer would be passed on to the Catalan club.

Palmeiras imposes conditions to negotiate

According to Fichajes, the board considers Vitor Roque to be the centerpiece of the club’s sporting and financial project. Palmeiras sees the striker as fundamental to achieving new titles and, therefore, does not intend to sell him for less than what they believe to be the real market value.

Manchester United even presented an initial offer of 35 million euros, but the amount was promptly rejected. The Brazilian club established 50 million euros as the minimum amount to open negotiations.

Vitor Roque’s contract with Palmeiras

Vitor Roque arrived at Palmeiras in February, in a transaction valued at 25.5 million euros (approximately R$154 million at the time), the biggest signing in the history of a Brazilian club. The attacker has a contract valid until 2029 with Alviverde.

Now, the speculated value for a possible sale practically doubles the initial investment, reflecting the attacker’s rise in the Alviverde squad.

Other European clubs monitor Vitor Roque

Manchester United is undergoing a process of reformulating its squad, looking for younger athletes with potential for growth, such as Vitor Roque. However, there is caution about the right time to invest, considering media pressure and the player’s growing value, which could increase in the event of a Libertadores title.

In addition to United, other clubs are also monitoring the situation. The Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo points out that Tottenham and Chelsea are keeping an eye on the striker’s next steps.
