O Sunday with Huck this Sunday (9) featured an illustrious guest: prince Williamheir to the British throne.
During a conversation with the presenter, the prince spoke openly about one of the most delicate moments of his life: the Wife Princess Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis.
He also commented on his father’s health condition, rei Charles IIIwho faces the same disease, and revealed how the couple has dealt with the situation alongside their children.
William explained that he and Kate chose to be transparent with childrentelling the truth about what the family is going through. According to him, hiding the situation would not be the best choice.
“Children understand more than we imagine. Sometimes they ask difficult questions, and we don’t always have the answers. But we decided to talk about everything, honestly. This brings us together”, he said.
The heir also highlighted that the couple sought explain the situation sensitivelyso that the children George, 12, Charlotte, 10, e Louis, 7, could understand the moment without fear.
“Every family goes through challenges. The way we face them makes a difference. Sometimes we think we talk too much, but hiding it doesn’t work. Open conversation helps children understand why certain things happen and deal with their feelings”, he added.
During the interview, William also spoke about the importance of maintain routine and family unityeven in difficult times. He said that he tries to be a present father and that he shares the tasks with Kate.
“I’m a driver, I take them to parties, games and play in the garden when I can. We share it, she probably takes more than me”, he joked.
