German police arrested a member of Hamas for smuggling weapons for alleged attacks in Europe. He was arrested after arriving from the Czech Republic, accused of being a member of a terrorist organization.

On Wednesday, at the request of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, the German police detained a suspected member of the Palestinian militant organization Hamas upon his arrival from the Czech Republic. Prosecutors say that the detainee, Borhan El-K., who was born in Lebanon, obtained weapons for one of the three men arrested on October 1 in Berlin. In August, he acquired an automatic weapon, eight pistols and more than 600 rounds of ammunition in Germany, which he brought to another Hamas member, Wael FM, in Berlin, where they were found on him when he was arrested.

Weapons in Europe

Simultaneously with the arrest of Borhan El-K. On Wednesday morning, the Danish police searched premises belonging to him and another suspect in and around Copenhagen.

Another suspected Hamas member, Mohammed A, was arrested in London last week. This British citizen received weapons from one of the men arrested in Berlin in October and stored them in Austria. Five pistols and ten magazines were found in a recently discovered stash in Vienna.
