CO2 emissions will again reach a new record in 2025

It is hard data in every respect and will be published in time for the start of the UN climate conference COP30 in Belém. The international research network Global Carbon Project has presented the latest results on global greenhouse gas emissions in 2025. And they show that CO₂ emissions from fossil sources are rising again this year – specifically: by 1.1 percent to a total of around 38.1 billion tons.
