Four people die from a gas leak in Torrox (Málaga) | Spain

Four people from the same family have died in the Malaga town of Torrox (21,583 inhabitants) due to a gas leak, as confirmed by municipal sources. The victims were found a few minutes after three in the afternoon on the floor of a house located on Pontil Street, north of the historic center of the town. Torrox City Council has explained that they are waiting to know the details of what happened and that they plan to declare several days of mourning for the death of these neighbors.

The 112 Andalusia Emergency Service received a call at 3:20 p.m. “about a possible gas leak” in which the people who alerted requested health care for several people they had found on the floor in a house on Pontil Street, in Torrox, a town located in the Axarquía region, east of Malaga capital. Medical personnel with a Mobile ICU, which is at the scene, quickly moved to the area. Firefighters from Nerja and Vélez-Málaga also attended, as well as several Civil Guard patrols, as reported by 112.
