Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, an American actor of Japanese origin, died at the age of 75 after a stroke on Thursday in Santa Barbara, California. He starred in films such as Mortal Kombat, Pearl Harbor or The Last Emperor, writes TASR according to reports from the DPA agency and CNN television.
Tagawa was born in 1950 in Tokyo, but spent most of his life in the United States. His father was Hawaiian, his mother Japanese. During his successful acting career, he starred in dozens of films and series, including successful films such as planet of the apes Tekken or Geisha.
The actor died surrounded by his family after complications from a stroke, his manager Margie Weiner confirmed. “Cary was a rare soul: generous, considerate and endlessly dedicated to his craft. His loss is immeasurable. My heart goes out to his family, friends and all who loved him.” she stated.
