The newest feature film from DC Studios and Warner Bros., “Supergirl”had its first trailer released this Thursday (11). The production stars Milly Alcock25, who plays Supergirl and her identity, Kara Zor-El.
Directed by Craig Gillespie and scripted by Ana Nogueira, the film opens in theaters internationally between June and July 2026.
The cast includes Matthias Schoenaerts, 48, Eve Ridley, 13, David Krumholtz, 47, Emily Beecham, 41 and Jason Momoa, 46, known as “Aquaman”. He will make a cameo appearance as Lobo, the bounty hunter anti-hero.
What we know about “Supergirl”
Inspired by comics “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” (“Woman of Tomorrow”)the film follows young Kara Zor-El as she tries to balance her . The dog Krypto, who recently appeared in the “film”, also returns in the new production.
In the story, Supergirl joins young Ruthye Marie Knoll on a journey to find the killer of the girl’s father, the villain Krem.
The title also has a series of the same name, with six seasons still unavailable in Brazil. The series presents a classic, more optimistic Supergirl, integrated into a government structure and a shared universe of heroes.
Already betting on a very different version. This Kara Zor-El is more alien, marked by trauma and driven by intense impulses. She goes on a cosmic adventure in search of revenge, showing a darker, raw and contemporary approach to the character.
