Tehran – Protests against the desolate economic situation continued for the second day in a row on Monday in several business districts of Tehran. Eyewitnesses said hundreds of shopkeepers closed their businesses in the Iranian capital and urged others to join the protests. The protests began on Sunday after the local currency, the rial, fell to a new record low within a few hours.
