Russia: Video of drone debris presented as evidence of attack on Putin’s home

Ρωσία: Παρουσίασε βίντεο με συντρίμμια drone ως απόδειξη για την επίθεση κατά οικίας του Πούτιν

Russia’s military today reiterated claims that it had carried out a drone attack on its residence and released video showing an unmanned aerial vehicle shot down during the “attack”, which Kiev strongly denies.

The Russian Defense Ministry released video showing a soldier with his face hidden next to the wreckage of a drone and a map purporting to show the path of the drones during the attack that Moscow blames on Kiev.

According to the Kremlin, the attack is planned for the night of Sunday to Monday. According to Moscow, 91 drones were used. The Kremlin presented no evidence to substantiate its claim. Almost three days later, the video showing the wreckage of a drone is the first evidence presented by Moscow to substantiate the charge along with the map and the testimony of a resident of a nearby village.

EU foreign policy chief Kaya Callas accused Russia of seeking to derail peace efforts by promoting “baseless” allegations of an attack on Putin’s residence.

“Russia’s claim that Ukraine has recently targeted key government targets in Russia is intended as a distraction,” it warns in a post on X.
